I've already posted this at an LG site and had no response, so I'm posting here in case anyone knows...

Can the on-screen Angle icon be turned off on this player?

All the other players I've had (Samsung 807, Wharfedale 750s, Toshiba 2109b) have had a menu option to turn off the angle icon, but the 4710 doesn't have one.

A few discs which use multi-angle video (Mallrats R1, Walking with Dinosaurs R2) pop the angle icon up on screen, which can be distracting.

As I understand it, there are a number of codes that can be put into the player (multi-region, firmware display, etc.) - I wondered if there was one which would disable the icon from appearing on screen? Since the multi-region hack for this machine is the same as most other LG players, a code for another LG machine might work...

Regards
Andrew

dont think it can be done- i have Walking with... and it does the same.

I dont mind the LG and AIWA players are rock steady.

I really like the player, except for this one issue. I know there are a few 'secret' codes that can be put into the player and wondered if one of them would disable the angle icon...

I live in hope!

there is no known code to do what you ask and if you try random numbers it could damage your machine - not worth it.
