I have just bought a cheap copy of the Waynes World box set.
I noticed a sticker on the back of it stating ' Some music has been changed from its original version' and wondered what exactly has been changed?
I have Cold Feet on dvd and it would appear that some of the songs have been altered for that too.

How many other films get the soundtrack altered before a dvd release occurs?

Wallace & Grommit : A grand day out. Originally had 'Happy birthday to you' when Grommit opend the card but on the DVD it changed to 'For he's a jooly good fellow'.

Two background tunes in Remembrance of the Daleks too. And I'm almost positive it happened again at least once with Series One of This Life.

It's all to do with copyright clearances (negotiated for broadcast, needing re-negotiation all over again for commercial sale) and I hate these changes with a passion. :(

While we're on the subject, does anybody have any info on the R2 Boxset release?

How will the boxset differ from the single purchase DVDs?

I'm glad someone else spotted this, I was beginning to think it was just me. :)

W & G - tey also changed the music the penguin plays in his room - the original was happy talk and now it's just generic hammond organ music.

Annoyingly though in the commentary (most recent R1 vesion) you can hear the proper music playing in the background.

Are the WW disc you got R1 or R2 - if so whats the R2 spec
