I've just been informed by some friends that a TV ad for Monday's Angel S1 release was screened the other night, and that the featured footage was widescreen!
After all the outrage over Fox's decision to press ahead with a 4x3 full frame release instead of offering the series in its 16x9 widescreen format, I can't believe they'd have the nerve to present it this way in the ads!
Not only would this be a damned cheek, it would also constitute misleading if not fraudulent advertising.
If anyone else catches the ad then please confirm if this IS the case, as a call to Watchdog or a visit to Trading Standards might be in order. :D
Wishful thinking maybe, but Fox might yet be shamed into a widescreen rerelease.
