Hi folks
Having never judged a comp before I was surprised at How hard it is making the final choice of a winner.. first off I think that the ones mentioned below are all really nice and I would be proud to have any one of them in my Gallery, thanks to everyone for taking part

the Gallant efforts
Grey Jackal - I have been trying for years to get a decent Lightning shot

RPG - I Like this shot a lot and you have even managed to get the stars showing very nice

JohnDavis0 -- A late entry to ther comp and what a fine shot it is, with plenty of detail

Downhillbiker - a very worthy entry and applaud the effort you put in to get it, I like the Low vantage point alot

swsxp02 - another commendable shot, must also add that you have what I consider a really beautiful shot on your website "moon" I like everything about that one

The Ghost - I know you have put a lot of effort into this comp, and your final choice is a good one. stick at it and I am sure you will come up with a winner soon

Surferchicky - again you have done something that I have failed, capture lightning, well done

chris308 -- you have managed to get a shot that far outstrips anything that I ever got with mine (A70) at night, well done

Highlander - another lovely shot with plenty of detail

Sam - another nice effort

now to the nitty gritty

Wow thanks guys! Really did not expect to get into the top 3 nevermind winning, considering the quality entries this last month. I really liked Jules H shot with the 's' light trail, and there were some superb last minute entries!

Ok, I'll get my thinking cap on for the next round!

Are we still doing these now we have the weekly ones?

Though the standard in the weekly ones is way too high for me anyway.

Yep.

http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=390686

for Month 31.

They're slightly different in that they're themed, take a month and are judged by an individual rather than voted on. I think they're sufficiently different to warrant having both running.

And the weekly ones aren't "too good" for you. I enter for god sake :p :D

Ah k, well it was taken on an island in North Wales - Llanddwyn, which is where the Welsh St.Valentine's comes from (St. Dwynwen). Its also where they filmed (about last Easter) a Demi Moore film (supposed to be Scotland). So its a pretty popular site, and where my family always go on our Boxing Day walk :) .
