What I want is a bag to store my ever growing kit in and use when I want to take everything out with me. I've got a samsonite rucksack that I use at the moment and will continue to use when I'm being selective about equipment taken out, which is great but is now starting to bulge at the seams.
I would prefer a rucksack type of carryall and it must be waterproof as tend to do a lot of walking in all sorts of weather, probably be worth having some expasion capabilities as will only get more kit.
At present I have D70, Sigma 70-300mm APO, Tamron 90mm, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, Sigma 2xConvertor, Nikon 18-70mm Kit lens, Nikon 50mm. + various gadgets and gizmos. Probably got about £150 to spend and the choices are endless, so come on folks what would you get. :shrug:

I got a Lowepro Slingshot AW200 a few weeks back and its great. Might not be big enough for you though (i dont think they do a 300)
My mini review is here;

Something like the Lowepro Nature trekker AW II would fit the bill (AW means all weather - basically the bag has an inbuilt cagoule (sp?) that you can pull over the bag if the weather turns bad). You can pick one up from eBay (http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-582776-5826355) for about £145. Details on the bag here: http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Backpacks/allWeather/Nature_Trekker_AW_II.aspx

I'd flog the 70-300 for a start as you have the markedly superior 70-200 and a 2x TC

There is that, but I find the 70-300mm a great walkaround lens where I don't want the extra weight etc. Also I purchased it before I really knew too much about glass :doh:
Thanks (Leigh and Sam) for the advice, don't think the slngshot would be big enough looks comfortable though. The Nature Trekker was one that I had been looking at on various sites so might opt for that if no one has any other suggestions.

Hi Darren
Lens wise you have a very similar range to my own (I'd definately flog the 70-300 as well... its a bit poo compared to the 70-200 - you won't want to go back)
I use a Lowepro Photo Trekker Classic which fits all my stuff nicely - depends on how much more kit you think you'll want to buy, but I think its worth buying a bigger bag now rather than upgrade 3 months down the line.
Oh by the way, the Lowepro Photo Trekker Classic is airline approved which means if you travel a lot like me, you'll always be able to take it on as "carry on" as the dimensions are within most airline carry-on limits - worth a thought if you don't want £2k's worth of glass ending up in the cargo hold !

Thanks folks, went for the Photo Trekker Classic in the end, amazing the difference in prices you find everything from £99 to £165, guess which price I went for :)
