hi all just thinking of getting a new Len's today or a teleconvertor but no one had one in stock got to order it.
So i am looking for something in the mid range type but wanted to pick one up off the shelf today and phoning around could only get a Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5/5.6 IMAGE STABILISER USM.
what do you think of this lens
no one got any thing else but 28-200 or simalar sigma ranges
so quick opinions please before i leave and possibly waste my money. leaving in2 hours

Hi
the 28-135mm is a nice lens and has a good focal range, I had one for about a year, and liked it, and it is sharper than the Kit Lenses etc
what I did not like about it, was the zoom creep its was awful and a few of my photography buddys also have it and its a pretty common thing with this Lens... although some people dont suffer it as much

if you are wanting a midrange type price Lens the 70-200 f4 L Lens is a bargain and Canon are currently doing a cashback offer on it, and it is a really sharp lens its easy to handhold and works like a champ

cannot say enough good things about it for the price

Sigma 24-70 f2.8 or Tamron 28-75 f2.8 are very high quality lenses although they don't have the range of the 28-135. Canons 28-105 f3.5 USM (don't confuse with cheaper version) is also a top lens for the money.

Of the three Sigmas 24-70 has the best range IMO and will fit in nicely with the 70-300. 24 is a lot wider than 28.
