View Full Version : Company messed up APS photos - wrong aspect ratio
Bought a couple of those APS disposable cameras and took them into get processed. The photos, instead of being the 12x4"? ones, came back as 6x4" with an inch of black border at both the top and bottom i.e. like watching a 2.35:1 film on a ws tv compared to 1.85:1
Same thing on the negatives.
Short of scanning, photoshopping and reframing everything by hand, is there any way for a developer to reframe these?
I was under the impression that the ASP just marked the neg as to the format they were to be printed in but that sounds wrong. I would take them back to the where they were developed and request they re do them correctly.
Yeah, I agree. Take them back and get them done properly. They are supposed to print the panoramic ones on longer paper, so that the image fills the whole of it....
EDIT: BTW, where do you jump dude? Brid? Hib? Both close to you there I guess.
Just had a look at what I got:
1st set came from a Kodak APS camera and came back with the film and a sheet showing small photos. No negatives.
2nd lot came from Fuji APS cameras and cames with no film, but negatives.
Took the photos back to another branch and the man behind the counter was quite shock at the great effort that had been made.......the photos are going to be printed properly for me this time, hopefully........going to get them now.
you don't get negatives with APsS.
you should get the film canister though.
