The R2 Project website say that Paramount are set to release a series of Michael Caine movies around June next year including Alfie, Zulu and the Italian Job. The new version of Zulu shoild be a much better copy than the one presently on offer - and about time too!

I am sure I read an interview/ article somewhere by Michael Caine where these DVD's where being promoted but I'm afraid I can't track it down???

It looks like this is cropped to 4/3 (unless that was the original ratio?) and like the rest of the Films de ma Vie series the french subtitles are apparently non-removable.

info here (http://www.musicbox.fr/cgi-bin/musicbox/0013181?RVSxCQeN;;571)

It's a shame, because they're a company that does some nice films, but their french stuff has no subs at all, and their non-french stuff has non-removable subs. So if, like me, you can read french but not understand it fully spoken, then only their stuff in languages other than french or english is worth getting (including stuff like Ozu's Tokyo Story )
