I'd rather stick rusty nails in my eyes than choose between any one of those ISPs.
I've just signed up to Freedom2Surf (on the £25 uncapped service), but they also offer cheaper, capped services:

There's a thread about them here:

Why are they so bad ?
Just Looked at freedom 2 surf web site
£15 per month
2gig limit pm
and you buy your own modem
at £30 +£9 per micro filter
is that currently the case
cheers
I just signed some one up with virgin and it all went very smooth.
I'm on Virgin:
* I've been lied to by their customer service about upgrades to stop me leaving.
* Have subject lines on emails that read 'RE:Re: RE:Re: RE:Re: RE:Re: RE:Re: RE:ISP feedback from portal' where I ask a question and then get stock answers that have no relation to my original query several times
* Have my broadband stop working every now and again and have to ring them to upload my details to their server again (going through 10 minutes of "try unpluging your modem", "I have a router. It works fine. I can see in the logs it is an authentication problem at your end", "We don't support routers", "I know you don't. Just upload my authentication details to the server again and will all work like the last several time", "We don't support routers", "I know you don't. Just ...").
If I wasn't moving to the US next week, I'd have switched ISP by now.

DO NOT touch Virgin with a bargepole. My parents have been with them for two years, and decided to move to another service provider as they had been charging 10 quid more a month than they should have been (that's a lot of money over two years, but my Dad is a bit stupid over matters like that).
We are not entitled to any refund.
We owe them no money, and were disconnected from them a month ago. However, they have left a marker on the line, preventing us from signing up with any other provider. Every time i ring them, they say "terribly sorry, we will remove it straight away, it will take a week" and we wait a week, and it is still there.
My uncle is in a hospice and my Mum needs to keep in touch with his relatives in canada. We have been without internet for over a month, and it will be at least another three weeks before we can get it.
Disgusting company!
Im with EFH (http://www.efhbroadband.com/) 2mb 2gb is £15.99 , 15gb £18.99, or 512 unlimited is £15.99
Currently on the £9.99+vat 512k unlimited option which is due to run out had no probs apart from one outage in January
One month contract

Wanadoo are often referred to as Wanadon't and AOL require you to install awful, system resource hogging software (well, you can round it, but...) on your PC before you can access the net. Virgin customers have already voiced their opinion here.
TBH, I would consider buying your own modem/router, microfilters (I got some for £7 each in Maplin) etc, as it will give you much more freedom in the long run.
F2S have been very impressive so far. I signed up on Thursday evening and they informed when the line would be activated (30 September) on Friday afternoon. So far, so good...

Another one NOT recommending Virgin....
My 1meg service has been consistently running at 0.5meg for the last couple of months, which Virgin technical support have variously blamed on;
- spyware
- the weather
- anti-virus software
- my router
- distance from exchange
- and more.....
They even told me that my phoneline could not support 1meg, yet it can, because I was one of those people who they migrated from the 0.5meg service 2 months prior to the problems beginning!!
I would have expected it to be a problem at my end, were it not for the fact that I know of 2 other people from different places in town, but using the same exchange, who are also getting exactly half the download speeds that they are paying Virgin for...
Catalogue of excuses from start to (unresolved) finish from Virgin as they desperately tried to avoid contacting BT to resolve the problem. When I eventually phoned BT myself, they confirmed what I expected - they cannot check anything (eg. the exchange, etc.) other than my line for faults, without the weight of an ISP phoning them up and requesting it - something which Virgin haven't done.
Avoid.
