There's a firmware upgrade on the Pioneer support site for the 110D that SVP reckon owners should use - problem is I haven't been able to d/l it for almost a week. Anyone used it or know of an alt source? Or is it not worth getting?

woohoo! The new firmware is burning 12x on Tesco 8x DVDs - well worth the upgrade!

Here's my problem :)

I've 2 PC's, the 1st one (mine) as the pioneer 109 with the 1.57 firmware, I only ever use Verbatim x8 Discs and burn at x8 which takes 7mins to back-up a DVD, which I'm happy with, I've just read there's the 1.58 now, worth the upgrade ? what benefits ? I'm happy, so if it's not broke don't fix it, I guess

Now the 2nd PC (Brothers) as the pioneer 110 (1.08 firmware I believe) now when I burn at x8 the finished Disc will not play on my Pioneer 717 Player, yet at x4 speed it will, so which firmware should I update to on the 110, all I want is to burn at x8 and for it to work on my 717 :)

Is it the 110 or 110D both different drives AFAIK
if its the 110D i'd flash it with the latest firmware, you should still AT LEAST be
able to play the disks burnt at 4x but prob faster
