Can I copy photos from a pc to a SD card?

I've been taking the photos off my SD card from my digital camera and putting them on my pc.....I may want to get some of them printed off, so can I just copy the images straight back using the card slot of my laptop for example?

i do it all the times, just the other day i filled one up to take to boots and have them printed out :thumbs:
