Ok I ordered Open Water (and a couple of others) from ethaicd.com last week and it arrived safe and sound yesterday. Now I put this in the machine last night and to be honest I'm not happy with the quality and not 100% sure if this is a proper release or copy. The format looks all wrong and the picture not good at all in parts. But what made me more suspicious than anything was the deleted scenes menu. They have listed/named the scenes and one is called MORING. When yoy click on this it runs with the correct title Morning !!!

Can someone with either a Region 3 release or any other come to think of it check on deleted scenes to check the spelling please ? It also appears to be cut, Blanchard who plays Susan was naked from the waist up in the film but on this release nothing, it has been edited out. I checked dvd compare and there are no cuts listed - very strange.

When the couple are lying in bed talking, the colours bleed with the back of the heads turning black and the eye sockets too ! Very strange. I haven't checked the other two dvd's but will tonight. I wanted to know if this was how the film was supposed to be before I contemplate buying from them again.

I ordered the Region 3 Open Water DVD from CD Wow a good few months back. I can confirm that the sound and picture were, at best, average. Even the DVD cover looked like a copy so I can only imagine that's the norm for the R3 release.

I sent it back as I couldn't even watch the movie as the quality was that bad. Got a full refund though so can't complain.
