Is this version the same as the original Directors Cut? The pic has the brown bag, does this remove to reveal the orignal directors cut cover? I can see a bit of the orginal cover at the top of the bootleg picture. Since this is the Directors cut I assume it doesn't include the supermarket ending as well?
Thanks

From what I have heard others here say, the bootleg is the same in content as the Limited Edition DC that was out a while back.
The brown bag does not come off, its part of the design :)
nope it doesnt have the original supermarket ending :(

The supermarket isn't the original ending, it was just the one that was in the theatrical release (I know, I'm a picky get)!! The apocalyptic ending is the true original ending, in that it was the ending for the cut of the film that Raimi 1st showed the studio!! I prefer the supermarket ending, but the apocalyptic one sets up the chance for a sequel, so i'm happy with either!!!

I've not actually seen Army of Darkness - is it any good? I've seen the bootleg edition at £15 and I've been thinking for weeks about whether to purchase it or not.
What I do remember is watching the end of Evil Dead 2 and thinking that Army of Darkness was going to be awesome.
All I know about it is that it's played even more for laughs that Evil Dead 2

Army of Darkness is a pretty fantastic film, and the effects are pretty cool as well. It's also funny.
Yeah, this bootleg version is worth getting as it has a funny commentary and quite a lot of extra bits and pieces. Pictures a bit murky every now and then mind you which is a shame. They even mention that in the commentary.
I'm probably on my own here but i prefer it to the other 2 films.
