View Full Version : camera problem
somebody borrowed my camera and it was left in a bag with a wet towel in overnight in a car. it's pretty wet, looks condensation-y and isn't turning on yet
when it dries out does anyone know what damage will be done for repairs etc? will the lense need cleaning/replacing? its a fuji e550 digital camera :(
Hmm hard to say, id let it dry out thoroughly. If you have one of those silica packs id stick the camera together with that somewhere.
Id let it dry our naturally and not stick it in the likes of an airing cupboard also.
You could be left with a water mark on the lens somwhere inside but you could be lucky, or the whole thing could be fried. Only time will tell im afraid
well, i let it dry naturally, fired up first time, not sure if its a little noisier that before could just be my imagination
took about 10 shots, quality seemed fine, no moisture circles in the, or anything, took a variety of different mode shots including video, all saved and seemed to work OK.....
could i be lucky or is it still likely to go wrong? going on holiday in 3weeks to NY and wanna be certain the camera be alright :/
