Its time to signup for the final season of XBOX Pro Evolution Soccer 4.
We're going to revert back to the smaller divisions this season. What I suggest is to use the final league positions of Season 5 to determine, who's in each division.
ie the top 5 from league A & B will be in the premiership. The next 5 from each league in the championship etc, etc.
Any signees who haven't played before will be in the bottom division. Any players from previous seasons who rejoin will be placed at an equivalent level to which they'd previously played.
As per usual a team will be randomly allocated from the following : -
Barcelona, AC Milan, Liverpool, Chelsea, PSV, Man Utd, Juventus, Roma, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Inter, Bayern Munich, Valencia, Dortmund, Deportivo, Lyon
You can of course pick your own team outside of the 15, and a second random re-draw will also be available.
Signup closes on the 23rd September at 8pm. Teams will be allocated later that night. Any Re-draw will be on the 26th September at 10pm-ish.
The season will start on the 1st October (sooner if the Season 5 playoffs run smoothly) & will finish on the 27th October.
When you signup, can you also indicate if you want to play in the cup. If the number of entries is high enough, the 1st round losers will play in a plate comp.

HOWEVER, I am on holiday from 6th - 21st October :clap:. I realise this may cause problems but I'll endeavour to get as many games played in the first few days as possible, picking up the remainder when I get back.
If this is going to cause any problems then let me know. Managed to get all my games played in the 'big' league quite quickly so I am hoping I can be accommodated. :|

Can't make the final Season of Pro Evo 4, have far too much going on and I just won't be able to commit to the season. Its all a bit of a shock to the system after all the free time i've enjoyed up till now. I do though anticipate that everything will be back to normal by the time Pro Evo 5 comes around.

Stevie - Apologies it looks like I will ne be able to get my games finished for season 5 :(. Off on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow morning. Back on the 4th October.
I would like to play next season, but understand if I am not allowed.

Steve, I'm gonna have to drop out.
What with the new arrival and all, my free time has shrunk a fair bit and the inability to get matches arranged (previously I could of course just play for a few hours on the off-chance an opponent would be online) would make it hard to fit another season in.
Hopefully Jack will be less work in the evenings by the time season 7 rolls around, so i'll keep an eye out!

I think i'm going to pull out of Season 7 for both cup and leagues. I rarely play the Xbox version as I have found it too much of an effort to find some folk online when I am. Most people are there reguarly but others make it far too much work and it takes all the fun out of it when you lose points and goals because people slack and don't turn up :(
Mind you, if the league is chopped down into divs as before and the league I would be in has reliable folk then I could be persuaded otherwise...

Stevie, I'm not going to put myself forward either - as you may have noticed I haven't been on XBL for quite a while (prob about 7 weeks or so) due to my console giving up the ghost. I may be investing in a replacement but for the time being I'm considering a 360 instead come December. Cheers for letting me in the last few seasons and good luck with it all - you're doing a great job there! :)

It has been suggested on several occasions over the seasons to drop Chelsea from the top list. What are your/everyone's feelings on this? It's the only team I've ever seen that everyone has had a problem with, even if they do work them out with 2 games to go :)
I've never played with them competitively so can't really comment, not sure who would be best to replace them with either. Porto? Or one of the random South American teams?
Or just pick a top 10 (there's a fun game in itself) and only have a redraw if 3 or more people volunteer for one?
Of course there is an argument that as this is the last season we may as well leave it as it's always been...

Already signed up for this season. As it is the final season on Pro Evo 4 and I won't get the chance again I would like to play as Southampton this season. Not sure this is a good idea but have nothing to lose. :D

I don't mind dropping Chelsea. I'll have a look at the some of the other teams tonight, and decide who's best to replace them.
There probably is a better team lying undiscovered somewhere but as Chelsea are defending Cup Champions they can't be too bad - better than Porto anyway.
And I'm not just saying that to disagree with Smiller after he nicked 4th spot :D
P.S. I don't want them again!

I know i'm gonna embarass myself as i'm not premier league quality and I think i'm gonna get ripped apart by some of the players (as I really need to get a lot of xbox practice in too as I haven't now played on the xbox version for about a month :eek: ).
As long as its not made painful to complete with people not turning up it should be great fun :thumbs:

Fair point, you did beat me in the final with them :razz: ;) As I said, and both your cup win and Matt's testomony back this up, people tend to work them out far too late in the season.

I just had a quick flick through the teams & I'm going to add 3 teams to the the list but leave Chelseas in. The 3 are Galatasaray, Boca Juniors & Leverkuesen. THey seem quite reasonable & should add a bit of variety to the season.
