I just bought a Mintek 2580 from Best buy. It was on special for $79.99 (normally $129.99) so I picked one up along with a DVD (Monty Python and the Holy Grail)
Anyways I hooked it up tonight, popped in the DVD, and sat down to watch it when the picture began fading in and out.
It's extremely bright one second then extremely dark the next.
I don't have S-Video and my TV only has coax in so I have the DVD through my vcr via rca jacks and then from the vcr to the TV by use of the coax
I know it's not the best setup but it's what I have and I surely didn't expect the best picture but I didn't expect it to be fading in and out every second driving me crazy.
So my question is which do you think it is?
A) The cheap DVD player
B) The dvd perhaps
C) My cheap setup and maybe something wrong with my vcr
Mind you my vcr inputs work perfectly fine when hooking up my camcorder or dreamcast. It's never given me this problem before. So I'm hoping it's the DVD but do you think it could be the Mintek DVD player? Has anyone heard of a Mintek before? Have you heard of this problem?
Most importantly, is there anything I can do to fix it?!? I don't want to spend another $40 on the next model up when this one is equal in price to those but just on special right now
So what should I do?
