DVD Player

Hi there Guys,
I'm thinking of buying a dvd player for the bedroom, for around the £150 mark.
Any recomendations?
Ideally it would need to play mp3's, vcd's and cdrw's if poss.

I would spend an extra £50 if you could and get the Goodmans DVD player or BUSH DVD player that comes with Dolby Digital 5.1 speakers -- overall enhancement of a good DVD player ;)

I've been offered a Hitachi 250e DVD player which is brand new and multi region. It can play cdrs and cdrw's also I think.
Any comments on this player, or anything better out there ?

I've just bought a Dansai 852 (as a second player to my Sony 725) from Tesco's and I must say I am very impressed. The picture and sound quality is very good and has handled everything I have thrown at it extremely well. It is M/R via a handset hack which will also disable macrovision. The hack allows you to set the region between 1 and 8 or to bypass. The thing that has impressed me the most is that even when it is in bypass mode (ie automatic) it plays RCE discs (i've tried The Patriot and Charlie's Angel's). It will also play VCD, SVCD, CD-R, MP3 etc, so all in all you get a lot for... £99 .:)

Spend the extra £30 and get a Pioneer Dv444K. Nothing to touch it for the money:)
