Arrggg, ok got my pc networked to the xbox via cat5, been fine for over a year.
Had a powercut, booted both up, get an IP conflict, the pc was 192.168.0.2, the xbox was 192.168.0.3, the router, dg814, is 192.168.0.1...............

but the pc is now .0.3 and the xbox is .0.2

Ive tried to SET the pc's IP in my network connections to something higher than the xbox .0.200 or so, but I cant get on the net.

im not a techy, so any ideas guys.

On the PC, what is the net mask you're using? What about the 'default gateway' setting?
Was your PC always set with an explicit IP address, or was it given one automatically by a DHCP server?

if its DHCP, turn the router off, unplug the cat5 from the xbox,, turn the router on turn pc on. pc 1 should be now .2 then turn on xb, xb should be .3, also u might want to delete the rounting tables/address tables on the router to reset the dhcp.

You can also go into the settings in XBMC and tell it waht IP you want it to use. Then you just need to beat the PC into submision :D
