Are they going to do that crap multi-aspect ratio again? I all for keeping the oringal aspect ratio. But i would like to be in anamorpic 1:1.85 so that i can see it like it was first shown in the cinema.

I never was 1:85 to begin with...the multi aspect ratio is the original - Kubrick filmed it like that - It may have been matted to 1:85 in cinemas but was filmed 1:66 and 1:37.

I don't see why a new anamorphic transfer,matted at 1:66:1 is not possible.It would seem the best compromise.

I have the sleeve here in front of me for the upcoming special edition R2 version and it's listed as beeing Multi-Aspect Ratio non anamorphic.
