what a true fan would buy them pirated down the market ?
It includes everything there was a thread in the TV forum. But the cuts unfortunately remain.

Why?

Why?
Because some episodes are cut. I *think* 18 minutes has been cut out of Royal Flush.
that's still a lot of money for such butchered dvds, hardly the complete series! :D

Aren't there some early shorts that are missing, 'Christmas Trees' I think was one.

Not sure if there is anything such as a "true fan". It does seem, however, there are "stubborn fans".
What's the alternative, to not own them on DVD whatsoever in protest? Settling for what you can have doesn't make you any less of a fan.

you could always tape the uncut episodes of the TV. ;)
I was willing to overlook the cuts, but after seeing 18 minutes cut from A Royal Flush I decided to sell my entire collection. :(

I'm not keen on all this "if you were a true fan" business, but you could buy the R1 DVDs, which I believe are intact.
Although, ironically, the clique of uber fans on the ofah.net boards bemoan the cuts, believe themselves to be the most thorough fans, yet still buy the butchered R2s.
Anyway... Good spot OP, a very reasonable price.

What about the weirdo "true fans" who believe what the BBC say should be gospel since they make it, so any every next release is therefore the best one?

I so want to get this, but does anyone know if it will come out on R1 as well??Reason being of course is that it will all be uncut on R1, and no dought will come with a few extras as well(like a few of the rare specials like Christmas Trees which incidently is available on R1)
Also BBC charge for Postage so its £132.44 actually :p
Will certaintly remember the BBC Shop (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://tvmerchandise.at/thedvdforums) if I do go for R2 though(still £18 cheaper anywhere else at the moment)

It's not on the R1 S1-3 boxset.
I have series 1-2-3 on vhs and a best of plus all the ones from the bbc (I have all of them on dvd)
They have been put on dvd
But my mother-in-law bought me most of the dvds aswell I already had series 1-7 and some others
But it's a nice price if you want the dvds even if they are cut :(

What are the reasons for an 18 minute cut?
Just curious, although I'm not a Fools and Horses fan.

I've got season 6 R1 and so far I haven't noticed any cuts. Yet to see Jolly Boy's Outing but IIRC, episode 1 is not cut.
Seeing as this is now upto 138.99 (same as Amazon.co.uk (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect-home^QS^tag=thedvdforums-21^QA^site=dvd), Play.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums) etc) I think I'll put it in suppliers forum

I dont think so, was in HMV last weekend, and saw Complete Series 1-7 for £69.99 so thats obviously what you're thinking off, Didnt actually see the Complete Series anywhere so cant comment on that.
If what you're saying is true, then it sounds like your HMV have clearly messed up bigtime and some idiot put the same price as the 1-7 boxset and put it on the complete boxset, because I just cant see if thats really true everywhere nationwide to be honest.
Still I will try and pop into my hmv anyway at the weekend to see about this, still not going to get my hopes up just yet though
