Naturally, amtrak decided to try and deliver a parcel yesterday during the 10 minutes I went out for during the whole day.
So, would they try and redeliver today (sat), or will I have to wait until Monday now and then spend anothr day hoping they turn up whilst I'm in?

My flatmate works for amtrak. On a Saturday he can be home for 0930. On a Saturday its job and finish, so I doubt you will get it today. You will only get it today if the driver notices that he has a Saturday delivery nearby when he is loading up (not for your benefit but to reduce the deliveries he has on Monday).
