View Full Version : XBox Pro Evo 4 players - Pro Evo 5 or getting an XBox360?

Just wondered what everyone was doing as per the thread title. I'll be getting Pro Evo 5 and trying to resist getting a XBox360 until the 'killer game' comes out or I can get a fair comparison to the PS3.

What about everyone else. Will there be anyone on Live to play Pro Evo 5 with?

When is Pro Evo 5 coming out for XBox? I have 4 on Xbox and PC, but find it very difficult to play on XBox because of the blurry graphics (probably my leads).

Hoping to get an XBox 360. It's backwards compatible isn't it? So even if you did get the new console you could still play Pro Evo 5 online!

will be getting pro evo 5 for xbox. Xbox360 is meant to be backwardly compatible but we'll have to wait and see. PGR3 is too big a draw for me so i've preordered.

Eurogamer confirmed there will be a 360 version of PES6 next year but no PES5

Guess it might have to be FIFA 06 for a year if it doesn't work on a 360 :(

According to Game, when I went in there today, the advanced model will be backwards compatible as it has a hard drive. The basic model, however, will NOT be backward compaitble as the games automatically require a hard drive.

Not too sure how true this is......

So am I the only person not getting a XBox360 then?

The trouble with backward compatability is that you never play the old games. Think how many PS1 games are played on a PS2. In my experience - none.

It is, kinda. PES4 on PS2 is crisp as a foil-sealed Sensation, but on the Xbox, even through RGB scart, it's a mess. Playing in 480p through component sorts it out though, and turns it nice and crisp again.

Will Live work across the XBox and 360 for the same game, i.e. if a person is playing Pro Evo 5 on the XBox360 could they play a game against a person playing Pro Evo 5 on a XBox?

I don't think anybody knows as yet, thats why i'll be keeping hold of my xbox until i actually see the backwards compatability in action and if the xbox games will work on live.

I'm going to be getting PES5 for the Xbox, I've already pre-ordered a 360 but will keep my xbox until I'm sure I don't need it for PES4 / 5 anymore...

I will get a 360 once all the fan boys have bought their consoles and the price drops by £100 and some games are released rather than over hyped sequels that look a little bit better than the older Xbox versions... :D

Pro Evo Soccer 5 Coming To 360

The highly prestigious simulation of the beautiful game will be scoring a place on the Xbox 360 soon.
Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will be released on the Xbox 360 at the Games Convention 2005 in Leipzig, Germany. Although not unexpected with Konami announcing Winning Eleven on the next-gen console for Japan last month, it certainly comes as welcome news.

With a Spring, 2006 release for Winning Eleven in Japan, it will be a few months afterwards until a Western version of the game is shipped. Konami also stated that it will make an appearance on "other new hardware" in 2006 - most likely the PS3, or perhaps the Revolution.

I'm getting a 360 on launch day, but will be keeping the Xbox just in case you can't play on Live between the two consoles.

Can't not play in the DVDF Pro Evo 5 League! :D

It's XBox360 v's PSP and after seeing the footage of Pro Evo on the PSP the PSP will get my purchase. Mobile Pro Evo gaming is too good resist.
