Turkey? Final Fantasy
UPDATE
Heres the current Top 5
1.CTHD
2.Moulon Rouge
3.AI
4.Amelie
5.Shrek
5.The Others
Well some of these are technically 2000...but I think they were all released in 2001 (over here)

Living abroad for most of this year meant that I barely got a chance to see any of the foreign films released in the UK - I mainly saw US blockbusters or indies. So...
1) A.I.
2) The Man Who Wasn't There
3) Memento (released in Korea in Aug 2001 :D )
4) The Tailor of Panama
5) The Nine Lives of Tomas Katz

DVDs or cinema? Or both?
1) The Others
2) Shrek
3) Traffic
4) Amores Perros
5) The Pledge
Turkey - Pearl Harbor
Posie Flump
06-12-2001, 17:34
1) Amelie
2) The Others
3) The Low Down
4) Bridget Jones's Diary
5) Harry, He's Here To Help
There's others that would probably get in ahead of 4 & 5 which I keep meaning to watch but haven't got around to yet.

1. Amelie
2. Moulin Rouge
3. Shrek
4. Amores Perros
5. Me Without You
and my turkey of the year : The Fast And Furious
1. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
2. Moulin Rouge
3. A.I.
4. Shrek
5. Unbreakable
Though an honourable mention for Wonder Boys, which my local cinema (the famed Southend Odeon didn't show it on first release).
Nor did they show Amelie, Ghost World or The Pledge - just a few of those not screened that I wanted to see.
But there.... I think that's quite an eclectic Top 5.

Wasn't CTHD released in 2000?
Not in the Uk it wasn't.... Remember the rush to get the R3 version at start of January as it was opening in the cinema's.
And Unbreakable was released on the 29th Dec, and I saw it on that night, but I can count it as this year....
right?

How about we just let this poll run until the end of the year and let everyone edit their votes as they see new films? Probably get more entries that way too.

The Others? That's a girly horror film isn't it? :p

Wow ! I really think that would have been my Top 5 (though not in that order) if, one - my girlfriend wasn't so soft and went to see The Others and, two - Southend Odeon screened Amelie.
Ps - Ralphph, I really think you should have a word with the boys at the Ode.

Still I like, or am sure to like all of those films.

Well, it'd probably be my #6 or #7! But that's the problem with a top five - there's always going to be a few left out!

Yep, 13 Days was a brilliant film, just not the top 5... as was The Pledge.... and one or two more. Haven't watched The Man Who Wasn't There but maybe that would effect my list if I did!

I'll have to replace MTP with Memento at no. 5
Might be just me who hated AI?

LOL... Memento is actually 1999.... :)
1 Amores Perros

I'll make a note of the Top 5 before 19/12/01,
then people can amend their 5, if they wish too....:)
I expect a certain film to feature heavily...No! not this one!!! (http://www.joblo.com/2001-aspacetravesty.htm)
