XBOX pro evo help getting into a game

hi, i've just got pro evo on the xbox, i have had it on the ps2 ages ago.

i'd like to play a few games online, so if anyone wants a game or two then please post here i should be on most of the day :thumbs:

EDIT-me and shand tried for ages to get a game going but everytime it said no resonse from the person hosting so we couldn't get a game.

but i've played a couple of ramdom games and shand has aswell so does anyone know how to get into a game?

you invite someone but when it says they have accepted it it doesn't give you the option of starting(how come?)

Nope I see the friends list screen with you on it and box at the bottom that says you have accepted thats it.

I press a to confirm and I puts be back to the option to delete you.

yeah this even worse than fifa for starting a game that took me 15mins :(

No other ideas mate, perhaps another forumite can help. When we do figure it out I will be up for a game.

This happened to me for the first time last night when trying to play searla from the forums.....it's odd as I've never had any problems with anyone else. Maybe one of the more regular players will have a clue (as I'd like to solve this one too..)

Kopman perhaps you should rename the title of this thread to attract some seasoned Pro Evo players that might be able to help.

I have just had a 2 hour session against various players so I know my connection is okay.

Thanks for your help but I am not sure if this is something I need to do on my xbox or on the router and where I need to do it?

"If you are using a router/firewall it's probably due to port forwarding issues or the UPnP not working correctly. Try putting the xbox in the dmz temporarily and see if that fixes it. If it does you need to fwd through port 88 for UDP and port 3074 for both TCP and UDP."

It's on your router you need to do this. If you post what kind of router you have maybe someone with the same one can help.

I have a netgear DG834GT.

If you log into the router address e.g. 192.168.0.1 then in Wan setup (or similar) set the DMZ to the IP of your xbox (mine is 192.168.0.4) then in port forwarding menu it's the ports I mentioned before that need to be opened and then you should be ok :thumbs:

As some of you know I have also had probs since getting a new router connecting to certain players. I want to join the xbox league again but need to test my connection again. I have tried what people have suggested above to fix it.

I could not amend the DMZ on my router, I can see the IP address but it is greyed out and I cannot change it.

I have had no problems connecting with anyone else on Xbox live since the problem with Kopman.
