hi does anyone know the best wide screen tv to buy?? ive got about £1000 to spend

I was in exactly the same position as you a few months ago... and I ended up spending £1150 on a 43" 4:3 telly after being persuaded (correctly) that it offered a better all-round deal.

So that's worth considering if you've got the space!

Sony WEGA. End of story for widescreen, unless you live in the states. :D

P.S. I think you can get a 32FX65 (100hz set) for around £700 now if you hunt around.

How can you say "correctly"? Which is better is purely based on your own requirements and preferences, and everyone's will be different.
