I received my copy today,and i am mightily disappointed.The transfer looks washed out,and does not appear to have undergone any sort of clean up.It is also extremely dark on many scenes in the trench,etc;comparison with my video copy backed up my eyes.Overall i preferred the video copy,which says it all.It is a lot worse than series 2/3.What is wrong with the BBC ?. :mad: :rolleyes:

i don't think the beeb have ever done a cleanup on any of their transfers. The Planets is probably the best transfer, but that was only due to the fact that it was a pretty recent series.

I do know that a major clean up job was done for Fawlty Towers.
