Has anybody got or know of anybody that has a Toshiba 28W8DB 28” widescreen tv?

Or any handy websites that could give me more info.
I would really like to know if its flatscreen or not & how good it is.

Its not a flat screen and its only pro-logic.
Its got good picture quality but is let down by poor geometry.

Its an old set (review is from July 1999), are they still making them !!

I've got the original one with Dolby Digital 5.1 in my bedroom, and I love it.

Geometry is fine aswell. Nowadays though, I wouldn't bother buying a TV unless it's flatscreen.

No its not flat but it close:)
Haven't noticed any geomentry problems.

Great picture and connections, 3 scarts (one rgb) svideo and composite video input (front and back)

Don't use the sound any more thanks to my Yamaha ax620 & tannoy mX4,mX1 and mXC setup. But it was pretty good when I did use it, long leads on the surround speakers which is always handy.

The stand that should come with it, is also nice and sturdy, although you might need to take a shelf out if you have tall boxes ala ax620's :)

Now all I've got to fix is the output of my DVD player (LG 3350) and then I'll be happy:cool:

I've got one and it's the mutt's nuts.
Ok, so it's not quite flatscreen and it's not silver (which most tellys are these days) but it's a decent performer. The picture is good, I've never had any geometry problems. The built in prologic is good enough if you don't have an amp/receiver. Good setup for the money.

I have just got one for £439 from Allders (this includes free stand, free delivery & free 5year guarante)
I know its not flat, I know its not dolby digital, but I was very impressed with picture & sound.
If you are on a limited budget like me & want a widescreen with dolby then go for it now!
