I'm looking for a PDA that has a Windows OS and comes with some sort of GPS software (ideally tom-tom).

I'm not going to be doing anything too advanced with it but would like a PDA that is not going to be out of date in a few months time.

Any suggestions ?

Now isn't really the right time to buy a PDA that isn't going to be out of date - Windows Mobile 2005 has just launched...

Does it have to be integrated GPS? As long as you have a bluetooth enabled device, you could use a bluetooth GPS widget (which is what I've got).

Other than that, there's the <a href=http://www.mio-tech.be/products/gps/168/>Mio</a>.

It doesn't have to be integrated. As long as I can install some GPS software on the PDA I'd be happy.

There you go then - you can get anything that'll run TomTom5 (check the minimum spec on their site) and has bluetooth, then buy a bluetooth gps dongle.

The Axims are supposed to be quite nice, have a shufty at Dell's site.

Most suppliers will provide a free update to WM2005 if you purchase the PDA after a certain date. The only trouble is that most suppliers haven't said what their particular date is yet...

Check out my Ipaq 6515 review. This comes with integrated GPS and a Tomtom 5 bundle.

I also owned a mitac mio digi walker 168 with integrated GPS, that was great to but didn't have a phone or gprs built in. The 6515 does.
