It was meant to be released this year as a featureless disc,

But that was cancelled as they have decided to do a R1 SE next year.

I seem to remember finding this film very scary when I saw it, could be wrong though I was only 10.

This is a great film, very atmospheric. As for scary? well it has it's moments.

Schindlers List is said to be due in the latter half of 2002, with Spielberg also looking to produce an extended cut at a later date.

Another site I'd recommend for release information is The Digital Bits (http://www.thedigitalbits.com) who also do feature pieces and have a library of reviews and cover art of upcoming DVD releases, etc.

I think there is a French R2 and possibly a Dutch R2 but there is something problematic with the subtitles being non rmovable I think.

Wicked film. Can't wait for an SE'!

The French R2 on TF1 is anamorphic and PAL (very nice transfer indeed) and although the subs are supposedly non-removable my Pioneer 525 can do away with them.
