A quick update for anyone remotely interested in this DVD release and it's apparent problems .......
I have found out that there are a few people reporting problems with the 5.1 track missing from thier copies ( even if no one here will come froward! :) ).
However, I can confirm that some people do have the 5.1 track present on thier copies.
This could mean that there may be a faulty batch out there :(
Well let's put it another (and more accurate way) there are some faulty discs out there!!!
I bought mine from MVC in Cardiff just for the record and I will be taking it back for a replacment copy tomorrow - I will post back then with further info on what happens - if it is a faulty batch then you can bet I will be wasting my time having a replacement disc - but you have to try it out once eh?
Oh and if it was not for this 5.1 problem this DVD would be an essential purchase - the disc is a cracker!!!! even has in vision audio commentary by the band on every track - Mallrats style....(I think it's Mallrats anyway....).....

Mine has no 5.1 either, but as the tracks were originally recorded in stereo i doubt a 5.1 mix would really do anything. Personally I would have preferred a LPCM track as these usually sound a lot better than DD stereo on music releases (less compression). The really annoyinb thing is that you can't turn the subtitles(lyrics) on or off while it is playing you have to go back to the menu each time annoying and pointless. Also the band commentary is not much cop mainly just them moaning about how bad they think some of the videos are (witness the mass exodus when Stay Together comes on! ), without much useful info. Still well worth it if you are a fan as most of the videos are very good and the songs are ace especially the ones from the first two albums. The bonus clips recorded by Simon Gilbert are good too, it includes their excellent version of Shipbuilding from Warchild and the new tune is OK too.
