To avoid starting a new thread Iwill ask my question here :)

Is this player any good?

Yeah its not a bad player actually -- looks very nice and comes with 5 nice shiny silver speakers and 1 nice shiny silver bass unit.

Pumps out decent Dolby Digital 5.1 and the picture is v.good also -- and all for under 200 of your hard earned notes :)

my only critisism (apart from my spelling) is the decoders inability to decode from the phono input. Anything plugged through is decoded to 2 channels - I would at least expected pro-logic.

Also, not too good with cdr's.

apparantly, you can disable macrovision (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/Goodmans3500.asp), dunno about specs though.
