View Full Version : Ixus 50 Owners- help!
My sister bought an Ixus 50 camera, but seems to have either not supplied with the WIA drivers or that she's lost them. I've checked out Canon's website for drivers, and there doesn't seem to be any available for the Ixus 50 for WindowsXP (unless its bound up in the Zoombrowser package) Can anyone enlighten me as to where I can get the drivers or resolve this issue?

The IXUS50 doesn't need drivers as such as it just appears as a removable USB drive - why do you need WIA drivers, as I'm sure this is more to do with scanners that cameras, unless I'm missing something?
WIA drivers are on the website http://software.canon-europe.com/Cameras/Digital_Cameras/Digital_IXUS_5010190.asp
but as andy says, you don't really need them?
edit: use the drop downs to refine the search for just windows software
edit#2..my apologies, those only seem to be for windows ME. but really if you have xp it will detect the camera automatically when you plug it in to your usb. my mums works fine - we only installed the image stitch software
Thanks for the advice, will give it another try, but didn't work the first time around.
Did you put it the camera into the correct mode?
