PayPal Q. What am I doing wrong? Can't add funds...

Trying to pay for an item on ebay through payPal. I've used it about 20 times in the past, never any problems. I don't have any funds in it at present, so I'm trying to pay in from my bank account - and it's telling me to wait 3-5 days so I can enter the special "testing amounts" they put on your account... I've used this account before and never any problems.

I'd happily pay by VISA through payPal, but I can't see an option to do that? I've done it before, instantly, and never any issues.

Everytime I try to "Add Funds" it just says I have to enter the "testing amounts" gaaah!

Am I just being thick?

You don't add funds to your paypal account. The only time that funds are added to your account is when you're paid for stuff you sell on ebay, or when someone transfers money from their paypal account to yours. The only way you can pay for stuff with paypal (assuming that you haven't got a credit balance) is via a credit or debit card that you've added to your paypal account.
