Just bought the PC version and would like to join the league at the beginning of the next season. I have a few questions.

How does the PC version compare (i've bought a PS2 pad waiting for the adaptor from Ebay)?

Any patches or updates i should know about?

Is it easy to go back and forward between the 2 version?

Any info would be appriciated, and any other tips would be most welcome!

Once you get used to the PC version, the Xbox version will seem a little sad mate :D

It's the best version as it has the control of the PS2 version with better graphics than the XBox.

Not sure what the Apple thing is but I had to forward UDM 5739 and allow DMZ on my router to be able to client and host.

Some people hate it but I have no probs with it.

Such a long time ago now but this brings back those memories.

The good thing though is that you'll have many many people experienced at configuring routers etc for this game so you should have an easier life than me :D

Nils never actually fully sorted out his problems and had to client for every competition  Lucky lag is not such an issue, unless you're one of the whingers in the league

apple routers don't have a DMZ.

I could be in trouble then as the PC is nowhere near the ADSL modem. Anybody want to try and connect to me to see if it works??

I can't play as i dont have a pad adaptor yet.

I currently play both :D

Its not easy to jump between the two if i'm honest. They play quite a bit differently and i've become a worse Xbox player because of this :(

Also, some of the controls are slightly different (lobs for example) so its easy to play it in the wrong style/controls and mess things up.

Routers can cause all kinds of probs - not clienting, not connecting at all, lag - basically you name it, it causes.

I have a wireless router that can be wired and was getting lag with both so I just got a long telephone lead and plugged my usb adsl frog in and now get no lag unless the other person has a bad connection. I'm on a 1mb ADSL line
