Travelodge are selling this very much as an overnight stop over for a tenner. That shows in the list of participating hotels - e.g. the airports and those on major routes. Not so good if you want a cheap break at a destination - e.g. coastal or city break.

Cambridge Swavesey will be a popular one I suspect.

I had a browse...but I couldn't see any rooms available for a tenner :0(

probably doing something wrong, but used the arrows to check following weeks.

its nothing like the good old days of 4/5 years ago when you could book consecutive nights at virtually all lodges :(
had some great trips round scotland and wales on those offers :)

mind you - the hounslow ones are handy for london visits if you have a car. (free parking at the lodge unlike the central london ones and also free at weekends at hounslow tube station car park so hop on tube into london  )

Yup, that one's normally pretty busy for all the people who get stuck on the A14!

Shame there isn't anything before September; my brother's found some decent stuff for his work travel so thanks to the OP tho'

Not looking very healthy is it?

Quick question: What are they like if you have 2 adults and 3 kids? The rooms only take 4 don't they? What would they do if we just turned up with 5 of us (littleist is 8)

I think someone poured treacle into their host-server's harddrive 'cos it's all going

Flimber

It's posted loads of places and emailed to thousands so posting it on here won't make much difference.

Mike.

trust me mike - it does ;) (over 1000 views and a handful of posts)
I learnt many moons ago that posting on here was detrimental to landing the rooms you wanted! (and besides you have taken over posting them now ;) , if the people that received the email did not post here until say an hour or so before it starts we would stand a better chance...)

I've got a couple of weekend breaks appearing in my basket but my card is declined when I try to pay.
Checked with the bank - all ok their end (plenty of funds / no IT issues) so I suspect the booking system is only half up and running.

Anyone else had the same problem?

mattymoo
28-07-2005, 21:31
Coolio - thrussington is an easy travel distance.
Loughborough and Donnington Park are just up the A6 and the road is dualed most of the way.
This will take you to Kegworth and the M1 / A50 interchange.
Go on A50 and take first exit to Donnington iirc.

mattymoo
28-07-2005, 23:33
Like APJ just found the system has picked up speed.
Booked 3 weekends away - Medway, Cambridge and Chippenham Leigh Delamere (don't even know where that is).

Now to find some things to do at these places :)

Boink!

I'm trying to book a couple of nights away in October and November and their website is still crap. At twenty past three in the flippin' morning!

Heathrow Heston M4 Eastbound

Are both in Greater London, although they might be difficult to get to without a car
