New Scan Player - All In One!

Hi all,

Thought this might be of interest to someone:

It's a DVD player and DTS amp all in on! (And it's on their todayonly page tday for £246 +vat)

I don't know how good it is though - just what it says on the site. A bit of info:

1) Onboard Power 5.1 Power Amplifier
(5 x 30w - front left, front right, rear left, rear right, center & 1 x 60w Subwoofer)

2) DVD Player with Dolby Digital and DTS Decoding - With full onboard Decoding.

2) PAL & NTSC full Multi Region - so you can play ANY movie from Anywhere in the World! Also - Plays RCE disks!

3) MP3 Playback! You don't need your PC to play all your MP3 CD's use your HiFi setup etc. Play hours of music from one CD!

4) Also reads DVD-R & DVD-RW Discs

hmm.. doesn't actually look to bad for the price (apart from the tacky looking badge) - it'll be nice to know how it performs though.

I have been unable to find any reviews but I think it is quite new anyway.

It delivers 30w to each of the 5 channels and 60w to the sub-woofer. Is this a lot?

I am considering one since I hardly ever use the tape deck or record player on my existing stereo, I could replace my stereo and Wharfedale M5 with just one unit.

Anybody think this would be foolish???

it doesn't come with speakers so you need to consider them as well.
