For all those that like watching great goals, here's the replay thread. I'm only doing this because I played against the computer a lot yesterday and scored my first decent offline goal so wanted to share with the world :D

What I'm going to do is collect any replays people have saved and uploaded and put links in this thread so everyone to admire.

There's a tutorial at the bottom of this post so if you've saved a replay goal you can convert it to a movie. If you don't have anywhere to upload it you can email it to me and I'll do the honours.

Tutorial to make your own

This obviously applies to the PC version only. See below for PS2/Xbox

1) Download Taksi (http://taksi.sourceforge.net/ - click the version number)

2) Once extracted double click the taksi.exe icon. Confirm where you want the saved movie to be. Bear in mind the movie will be big (100mb-ish). Click "Save and apply" The window will still stay there.

3) Start PES, you should have a green icon in the top left. This shows Taksi is running.

4) Change the resolution within PES to 640x480. Otherwise the movie will be too big.

5) Goto Options, Museum, Replay Playback. Pick the reply you want to record. After it's loaded the screen goes blank for 2 seconds before playing the movie. At this point hit SCROLL-LOCK on your keyboard. The green square will turn red. Once the movie has cycled through 3 times hit SCROLL-LOCK again to stop the recording. Quit and exit PES

6) You'll now have your movie available to watch, but it will be a big movie. You need to convert it to divx or xvid to make it a reasonable size. Rest of tutorial coming later.

Compressing your video file to divx/xvid

7) Download Virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org/)

8) Extract and run Virtual Dub. Go File > Open Video File. Select your video File.

9) Select Audio > No Audio
Video > Full Processing Mode

10) From the Video menu go into Compression. On the left hand you side you should have a Divx or an Xvid option. Pick 1 of those and click OK.

11) File > Save as AVI.

You'll be able to record your replays with the Xbox/PS2 versions but I imagine the only way is to record to video casette/DVD Recorder then pull back the image and convert on the PC. To be honest I don't know, there may be a better way. If anyone comes up with it let me know and I'll ammend this post.

Good goal! I just checked my replays and I have a beauty from Stan "The Man" Lazaridis (OMF) whilst playing against a mate (practising with Birmingham). Created a clip as per your instructions, but it is 88mb!! Waiting for your next instructions...

I used an old Dr Divx setup I had on my machine but it's no longer available. Just having a look at Virtual Dub now but never used it :help:

You ever used FTP? If so I've just setup anonymous ftp on my hosting so you should be able to upload to ftp://ftp.bolch.co.uk in the incoming folder with username: anonymous and password: your email address.

Download a program called Taksi - you run it at the same time and it saves them to avi's which you then convert to xvids or wmv's...

It'll be easier when the full game turns up as you will be able to save them within the game.

Cheers! It's pretty simple once you have a play around. I used Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, great bit of software.

The commentary over the Eto goal was simply taken from a clip of a real life goal he scored recently. Spanish commentators rock.

As a sidenote to Damell's replays - is there a button combo that you can use to ensure they do a volley/scissor kick OR NOT? Occaissionally i'll have a player clear in the centre and he'll try one of these and miss a very easy chance when a simple header would do and visa versa :D :doh:

It combines all the above goal videos but in one file with sound and saved as a WMV file.

First time I have used one of these movie editing programs so it will be interesting what you guys think.

The same as recording offline. Have Taksi running then when the game finishes record the highlights. Would be pretty cool if everyone could do it then we could see the goals instead of reading about them and we could have goal competitions. :dork: :D

I just changed the fram rate to 40 and everything else is on the default settings. PES resolution is 1024 x 768 on high. Beware though when the files are created they are pretty big usually over a gig if the highlights are a 1 and a half minutes. Just rencode using virtualdub as described in the first post by Bolch.

Nope i open taxsi, Pro Evo dont load. When i open Pro Evo 1st then taxsi its shuts down Pro.

Had no luck with Taksi so far - it just slows the replay down to 1fps or something and when I check the videos, its created multiple videos like its doing more than 1 capture at the same time by mistake :(

EDIT: Going to try Fraps now and see if I can have Youtube highlights package from it :D

It's a goal that works on so many levels - laugh at:

a) The way Louis takes out the keeper with a knee-high challenge
b) The way a mental deflection ends up straight back at his feet
c) The nonchalant way he finishes it off
d) The keeper's dying swan dive which sees him end up face down in the dirt.

Try doing this in Fifa indeed :lol:

Edit - right, I have just figured out how to use fraps and this is my first attempt at a goal vid. Look out for a comedy own goal (I'm Spain) a cutback and then a great headed finish. Sorry for it being PES6 but I'm sooooooo excited!

I can't see that vid Crayon, I think you need to set it to public.

To add music and text I use Windows movie maker, it should be in your start menu.
