URGENT PC Problem

My problem is that I can't access half/most of my applications (WMPlayer, TV, installations). The PC slows down a tad after attempting to access them. This has stopped me from shutting down the computer the proper way. I can't use System Restore.

I tried starting it up in Safe Mode, but when it comes to loading the drivers to startup, it stops after awhile. Is there a problem with the last driver being loaded?

virus scan, spyware scan then get back to us. :D

try pressing control+alt+delete to bring up task manager, click on the processes tab then click on cpu to order the list so you can see what is eating up the cpu.

OK here's an odd thing

Everything is working again, although I've not tried the shutdown thing though

Here's what I've done
I've scanned for spyware and for viruses, but nothing came up. I re-enabled the startup processes after I've disabled them the first time and everything is working again
