Hi people decided to buy another player and retire the tired Sammy 709, basically looking for a player which supports a Multi-region hack or mod, not bothered on which it is, good audio playback because I'll be using it for playback of music CDs, CD-R compatibale aswell & lastly RCE compatible.

I have afew players in mind, if you own any of said players, could you give me your opinion on the perfomance and if it will cope with my needs.

Players:
Pioneer 444
Pioneer 545
Toshiba SD110e
Toshiba SD210e

Thanks very much in advance

The Pioneer 444 (http://www.home-entertainment.co.uk/grouptest_read.asp?GroupID=1499&ArticleID=1498) is one of the top players to get now. Justin at Home Cinema Heaven is full of praise for it and I want to purchase one as soon as possible!

I've just replaced my Samsung 709 with an X-Wave 2000 , plays everything I've thrown at it so far , only one problem at the moment, no Scart socket

Pioneer for the money, although if you are wanting one thats really good with Audio CD, then theres only one choice - Marantz DV4100OSE. All depends really on your intentions for use, and also the rest of your kit:)
