As a Manchester United fan, I would say Juan Veron, because he just never got to grips with the Premiership, which for a player who cost £28m is ridiculous, I'm taking Ralph Milne into acount here as well!

So who do you think is the worst player to have played for your team?

well he is not the worst player ever, there are far worse players who have played for Manchester United - least value for money definately!

Taibi, William Prunier (although his first game was actually quite impressive!) am not going to mention some of the dodgy youth players who have appeared as thats a little unfair.

Good topic, will have a further think?

Yeah, Prunier (Cantona's mate) didn't look too bad, until United were thumped 4-1 by Spurs

Still think Veron showed signs of class and I believe if we would have given him more time he coulda been great....

He was class when United beat Juve 3-0 in Turin, but I think that was more to it being the type of opposition. He was shocking in the 2nd leg of the semi-final against Bayer.

Where are the Southampton fans, its got to be that guy who pretended he was George Weah's cousin (or similar) and got subbed soon after coming on by Souness!

Well some would argue the whole of last season's team, but as a Forest fan i'd have to say Andrea Silenzi, who came to us being touted as a top italian striker and left us being touted as a runner in the Grand National. Then again we did sign Gary Bull and Robert Rosario so we're not known for our luck in the transfer market when it comes to strikers.

Take your pick

Nigel Callaghan (now a DJ in Greece)
Sasa Curcic
Bernie Gallagher
Ivo Stas (never even played a game)
Steve Sims
Bosko Balaban

Valerian Ismael

He's just signed for Bayern Munich as well.

Worst player for any team ever has to be that Ali Dyer (sp?) who Souness signed for Southampton after someone pretending to be George Weah phoned up and told him he was his cousin and really good.

Boris Zivkovic mentions also for Ian Baird & Mike Fillery.

The Soton player was Ali Dia (He got 10 mins in the Prem as a 2nd half sub before being subbed)

Marinello was a waste of money for Arsenal in the 70's. Charlie Nicholas wasn't much cop either.

Surely Mark Falco must merit consideration as Spurs' worst player

As a Sheff Wed fan, has to be Colin West. He was that bad he even had a fanzine comically named after him (but I've totally forgotten the bloody name of it. Oh, the joys of being 47!!)...

Worst value for money (if we'd actually paid it and not got away with it by going into administration!) without a doubt. But Lee Sinnott was was a worse player and certainly gets my vote.

But we've had so much rubbish over the last 15 years, though. David Amsalem, Itzhik Zohar, Ade Akinbiyi, Fernando de Ornelas, Steve Mautone, Rhys Wilmot, Carl Veart, David Tuttle..... I could go on.

Special mention to Ray Wilkins for the least impressive career in a Palace shirt ever. Lasted just over an hour, broke his ankle and never played again. We let in 6 goals in that one hour, too!
