I'm breaking my head here trying to decide whether to go for expensive snapper crappers from UK but with Dir's cuts and english boxes or cheap French boxset but still snappers and even though menus are in English, case still in French a little.
I got all the first 6 season from Australia but now they're behind again with only first half of the S7 out, so as the topic states, does anyone know when the rest will be released there? They are the perfect ones, not too expensive and complete and keep-cases and will match.
I'm planning to scan the French case artwork for S7, find a copy of the Friends font to retype the episode titles and will eventually get around to putting the discs in clear Amaray cases to match all my Australian discs.
Got to be cheaper than buying those naff DC's.

Not related to the Australian releases but I got the Series 7 boxset (for my Wife) from dvd.co.uk for 69.99 - which works out to about £11.66 per disc...

well, if you're in no major rush, then wait for the aussie discs, they'll be the cheapest and amarays :) ... If only WB realised the hassle we go to to avoid there terrible snappers!!! I'm sure S7 will inevitabely un up someth=ime over there.... try emailing some AU suppliers and asking if they've ahd any news of it?

The only problem with the R4 discs is that they're the so-called Directors Cuts, so customers have to buy 6 discs instead of the 3 discs for the previous 6 seasons. The French Season 7 boxset is the best way to go as it contains all the episodes on 3 discs as with previous seasons. Menus in English with default English audio too. Why pay nearly twice as much for the R4 discs just to get Amarays? Buy some replacement clear Amarays, scan the French covers and rebox the discs. Cheaper in the long run. :D

Well I thought about the French boxset, English menus are also an incentive to get it but otherwise it's not worth it.
1. The snappers are in French
2. I want to have the absolute version, Dir's cuts, even if it's just a one liner added here and there for a few seconds.
3. They are snapper crappers
4. Each cast member gets his/her own cover
5. French box comes out to about US$62 without shipping while Australian 6 releases to $75, therefore it's not that much more expensive, definetly not twice, and I get 6 discs to fill the space on the shelf and look nice :D
So, I've just ordered volumes 1-3 for $40 shipped.

Just checked out the prices, and using the listings from DeVoteD, and Amazon.fr, the shipped prices are (approx) and using Xe.com to convert currencies:
S7 (Vols.1-3 only) - $80.30 AUD = $41.37 USD
S7 (box set - all) - 456.87 FF = $61.96 USD
So if you add on the cost of buying the other three volumes of S7 from Australia, that's still around an extra third.
I'm happy to save the extra for something else on this occasion and don't wish to support Warners consumer rip-off with the so-called Directors Cuts, but each their own.
