techtronics mod on the lg4750 - dodgy or not?

my wife and i often watch films upstairs in bed(ahem), and these are dupes from my sammy 709 to tape, but it just died and ive ordered the lg4750 from techtronics, now ive just read that the quality might be affected by ghosting- can anyone confirm please?

The macrovision isnt remote hackable, the region coding is.

and it's not just the 3350 its all modern LG's including the 4750.
So if I were you I'd get something like a macmaster from sonel or ringos.
and I'm not saying anything about techtronics :rolleyes:
