If I remember I'll check when I'm at home, but I think most of the R1 extras are included as chapters of the documentary on the R2. In a similar way to Vertigo.

Checked and I don't think that that the photo Gallery is on R2, but the interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff are part of the 53 minutes making of documentary (which ends with a 10 min Creature Featurete focusing on behind-the -scenes footage of the monsters). It also includes the original ending. It does also have Cast and Filmakers info, but regardless of what the box says it only has 1 trailer.

I'd go for R2 and put the saving towards the sequels (the third one is now out on R1).:D
