Does anyone know if The Mummy Returns has the cuts the normal disc has. I'm sure I read somewhere that the special 4-disc set did not have the headbutts removed, but the 2-disc set did.

I presume that you are talking about R2 and not R4. I think the cuts will be in any copy of The Mummy Returns as long as the certificate rating stays PG (I think it's PG) If the headbutts stayed in the film then the certificate rating would go to a 15 and Universal can't have that.....dent their sales. So in answer to your question, yes I would think the cuts will be still there if the boxset is a PG.

Go for R4 if you want uncut action.

Do you know where I can get this from? I've checked a few sites but can't find it.

But the Boxset is a 15. Mummy Returns is a 12. Was The Mummy a 15? So who knows?

The Mummy was a 15 on video/DVD because it was released unedited, whereas the cinema release (cut) was a 12.

The box set is 15

The Mummy is the same cut as the previous DVD (ie uncut)

The Mummy returns - this is an odd one. when watching the fight and it comes to the headbutt it seems to be cut for a fraction of a second, but not the whole 1s claimed by the BBFC (more like just a frame or two) and it's very clear that Evei did headbutt her. althrough you don't actually see two heads making contact.

Panic - yes it's very worth it, you get more extras and the movie gets a brand new DTS track (which is far better the the DD5.1)

The original single disc R2 Mummy was released as both 12 and 15 cert editions. The 15 cert edition clearly declares itself as 'Uncut' on the cover.

I believe the R4 Ultimate Collection includes both movies fully uncut and the R2 version has one headbutt edited from The Mummy Returns.

£24.99 sounds like a bargain if Curry's are still doing it for that price. Will end up working out more if you allow for shipping etc from Australia for the R4.

Think I can live with less than a second missing from the R2 bearing in mind the great price this can be picked up for.

I looked at the R2 boxset in WH Smiths yesterday and it stated on the back that both films had DTS soundtracks. So there isn't much difference between R4 and R2, is there? (Apart from the cuts).

What are the extra 'extras'?
