Anybody ever worked as Concert Staff before?

Seems the perfect forum to place this!

Just a general wondering as to what it's like.

Hopefully getting some summer work soon involving staffing at a series of outdoor gigs. Free meals and transport are provided, which is a bonus. No details of the pay yet though :suspect:

Anybody ever done it before? It seems like an excellent way to get some cash, get to go to some gigs for free, catch a glimpse here and there I suppose.

Not sure what's involved in the job as yet though. Whether it's standing at the front of the stage, further back or collecting tickets.

I've always disliked alot of concert security, mind you.

The perfect student summer job I think! Well, at least until someone tries it on, and I'll clearly get hurt :(

Hope you're better than the security at the recent U2 shows in Manchester - they were a disgrace, and got loads of (totally justified) hassle from the fans.

If it goes well it does sound like agreat way to make some cash though.

I've seen my fair share of disgraceful security guards at gigs :mad:

They love being on the power trip I think!
