View Full Version : [XBOX] - PES 4 Season 5 Leagues / Teams Allocated.

Its time to signup for next season.
Due to a number of dropouts , entry to Season 5 will be restricted to players who have played regularly in previous seasons & be limited to 30 players.
Places will be allocated to established league members first.
There will be a feeder division for new players wishing to join the league.
If there are any dropouts in the main league, the leader of the feeder divsion will be replace them.
Season 5 will kick off on the 25th July.
When you signup can you nominate the league structure option that you prefer.
Option A
Same structure as season 4. ie divisions of 10-12 teams with random allocation.
Option B
Same as option A but with each player picking their own team
Option C
One big division of 30 teams with teams randomly allocated from the top 10 teams. Each team will be used 3 times. Top 10 teams - TBA.
Option D
Same as option C but with each player picking their own team
Option E
Two divisions of 15 with the teams randomly split between the 2 divisions.
Teams allocated randomly from the top 15 teams. You can pick any team outside of the top 15 though (as long as nobody else has got it)
Option F
As per option E but with players picking their own team.
With options E & F the top 2 teams in each division will play in a end of season knockout comp to find the true champion!!
I consider the top 10 teams to be Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Man U , Chelsea, Inter, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Roma, Liverpool. But i'm open to suggestions on this one.
If the top 15 are used, it will be the same top 15 as previous seasons.

I favour Option E.
While i like the idea of a big division, I fear it will become unmanageable. 2 medium sized divsions are a happy medium. But I'm happy to go with the majority.

Option A or option E. I quite like the random allocation as it forces you to learn to play with a different team and adds some variety to the game. We should only have one use of each team per division.

One big league could be a nightmare to get all the fixtures sorted out and played within the time available.

Could we not make it top 15 teams and then each league will have unique teams rather than multiple Arsenal, Real Madrid's.
Using the same idea as the last 2 seasons so you can pick a team outside the top teams is still a good idea too.

I'd like to play - option E for me.
How about the one big league OPTION C (with or without 15 nominated teams) but you can only be the same team for 4 games and then you must pick another team.
Maybe too dificult to keep track off unless you rely on people doing it themselves.
I know people have to play games whenever they can but the downside to a bigger league is that I can see after a couple of weeks that I'll have about 20 games in hand :lol: compared to some players and the table will look a mess.
(maybe a cap on games played per week).
As it stands I enjoy trying to climb through the leagues with the random teams but I'd VOTE FOR OPTION C
for a change. It can always go back to the way it was if it doesn't work out I suppose. (1/3 each for A, C, E :lol: joke)
P.S. defo Juve instead of Roma

I've gotten the Live pack and am ready to sign up. All ready to go but missed the cut off date for the cup (thought there was more time left to register).
However, I understand the reasons for sticking to reliable people, means that the competition isn't screwed up by no-shows. But how are people going to be able to prove themselves reliable in the first place if excluded? How about a 'newcomers' section where you can only step up to the 'big' leagues when you've proved your reliability?
If you have a change of heart, let me know as I am definately up for a beating by all the PES experts.

Excellent suggestion. I'll put up my gamer tag on the sticky thread and throw down some challenges to some of the guys from the 'Conference'. Let me know when the feeder league gets underway.

I'm in the same situation. I'd love to get involved in the PES4 community but I'm a n00b at it and extremely crap. I think we should include a n00bs league for people like me and slocombe

I suppose you have a point (:D), but in the early parts of the season I thought I was gonna be relegated for a while. Then I got use to them and started to pick up. But I reckon we need a league where people think they can win. Teams like Lyon arent gonna win it for ya.
I agree with the fact that having different teams is a great idea and have enjoyed the format.
Maybe we'll be in luck and 5 people in the division pick a team outside the top 10/15? Therefore leaving 10 top teams to spread amongst the rest :D

I'd be up for Option F but would easily go with the majority - although I probably won't get a chance as I have only joined this last season.
It's a shame as I am really enjoying playing the league and sense of community it has created. I understand the reasons behind it though. :(
A split vote between option A and E from me, and if it's one of the 10 team options that wins the vote then (as suggested by a couple of others) Juve should be in instead of Roma. If it's a 15 team option then it doesn't matter as they both should be in the top 15.

The season will probably run for 8 weeks, so that would mean you playing all your games in a 4 week period. If you think you can do this,its ok to enter.

If only 2 people want a random reallocation, they can swap teams. :lol:
I know of at least 3 players who will go for a team outside the top 15,so there will be oppurtunity for a re-allocation.

Yes there's still space. Although the league is restricted to 30 players with the overflow in the feeder league, the 30 spots aren't issued on a first come first served basis. Entry to league goes to the players who've played since season 1 first, then players that joined in season 2 etc, etc.
So as you joined in season 1, you're definitely in.

Who are you playing up front - Drogba & Kezman?
If so, ditch them and use Gudjohnsen & Robben.

I've been using Gudjohnsen & Mutu. Gudjohnsen has been just about the only person whose scored so you may be on to something :lol:

Still undecided whether to go top 15 teams so that everybodys team is differentor the top 10 teams used 3 times across the 2 divisions, so that everybody gets a decent team.

An alternative (and more work - sorry) would be to allocate the better teams (Real Madrid, Inter etc) to the people from the lower divisions, a sort of handicapping system.
Will there be play-offs between the 2 divisions at the end of the season?

Handicapping would be a nightmare.

Actually my preference is very similar to yours. I would like to have a top 15, where everybody plays with a different team, but top 10 used 3 times would be faired over a longer season.
I still expect the same players to be at the top no matter what team they have. I reckon i could predict the top 4 in each division.

The leagues and teams have been drawn. Becasue there was only 36 (possibly 37 entries), I've decided to cancel the Feeder division as it wasn't viable to run it with 6 teams.
Therefore the league has been expanded to 2 divsions of 18/19 teams.
The top 13 teams were each used 3 times.

Monster Munch I suggest you heed the advice I posted in your thread, we're trying to be a bit lenient but further personal attacks will result in black book marks/banning.
We'd prefer it if there was just one thread per format this game appears on (as per the rule of thumb for all other games). League organisers feel free to start a new thread.
I'd also suggest all members refresh themselves on the T&Cs of this site as we've noticed that these threads have generated a large number of reports to us.
