SVCD on Sony DVP S725D?

Hello everybody, my first post here!
I tried to burn a SVCD using nero 5.5, it works perfectly on my pc with windvd, but my dvd player shows "NO DISK". I used a Princo cd-r that are normally ok on the 725 for audio cd.
I was wandering if the information i found in vcdhelp.com about the SVCD and XVCD compatibility on the 725 is fake.

I tried creating a VCD using Princo discs on my 725 and it didn't work. :(

Here's a long roundabout method that worked for me. Download TMpegenc. Demux the SVCD mpeg and mux it as non-standard *VCD*. Now Try burning in Nero as a VCD *not* an SVCD, (though make sure you untick the 'standard VCD' box.) The SVCD will then play in full SVCD res etc etc.
It works for me for around 75% of SVCDs.
