The cup is going to be limited to 32 players.

You must play with your current league team. Non league players may sign up but league players will take precedent if more than 32 players apply. Non league players will be allocated a team.

Only signup if you're sure you can play games within the deadlines.

Usual rules apply - Games are played over 2 legs (Home & Away). Away goals count double.

If sscores are level after 2 legs (and aways goal taken into account), therew will be a 5 minute replay (with extra time & pens). The first team drawn will host.

Signup closes 6th July

Round 1 - 7th July - 14th July
Round 2 - 15th July - 21st July
Quarter Finals - 22nd July - 27th July
Semi Finals 28th July - 1st August
Final - to be played by the 5th.

Of course if the round finishers before the deadline, the following round will start earlier.

Cheers for the games, really enjoyed them.

The second half of the first game, was full blooded attacking football, defence just went out of the window!

I think the 3 away goals i got sealed it for me, especially when i got the early goal in my home leg.

Well I didn't discrace myself and both games were good attacking football. Your keeper made some cracking saves in the second half of the second leg to keep me out as it was looking like I was going to get back in to it. Good luck for the rest of the comp. :thumbs:

Those games were really close :eek: You were pretty unlucky not to get a couple more goals!! Easlily the closest games i've had so far this season, though thats not saying much as I have not played that many.

Very tought games mate, you are a good player. I was not having much luck in front a goal and Harry Kewell was having a blinder.

Second game I know it would be tough to get a result and that was made all the more difficult with you scoring early.

Sorry I had to quit, but you can have the result zboniek.

As I said above, I have another commitment at 9pm and your lengthy substitution and half time breaks meant I had to quit in order to keep that appointment.

As I said above, I have another commitment at 9pm and your lengthy substitution and half time breaks meant I had to quit in order to keep that appointment.

It is not your fault that I quit at all, my own inability to tell how long a match would take to play is at fault!

I'd feel a cheat if we replayed the 2nd leg mate, let the score stick and you go through on away goals. Good luck in the rest of the competition!

Blinding game matey, well played! I had tons of chances but just couldn't score! Must have hit the crossbar twice and the post god knows how many times.

Lehmann was inspired in goal, shot after shot he just saved them all, double saves the lot! It just wasn't my night and was destined not to score. Got caught on the counters and crosses were my weakness.

You'll make a great addition to the League matey and would see no problems in season after season of promotions. Thanks for the games and good luck for the rest of the comp! :thumbs:

Both games were as tight as a knat's chuff. I thought you were going to thrash me when you scored the opener in the second leg, but when I equalised, I did all I could to stop you scoring again. I nearly had a heart-attack. The header in injury time sealed the win for me, though.

Yep that was an amazing peformance from my goalie coupled with a dire performance from your forwards. 18 shots and only 1 goal? The 18 shots doesn't surprise me in the slightest...

I must admit I was almost jumping for joy when I scored the second goal in the second leg, only to be brought back down to earth by the realisation that away goals counted double and I had about 2 seconds left on the clock!

Sorry I have just queried the fixture as I thought you lost the previous game, I didnt realise the second chance or see the previous post. I think you may have another life as im pretty dreadful with Lyon and im sure your Chelsea forward line must even have a pretty good chance. I appologise in advance for a gritty defensive performance and hope I can score better then my current ratio of one chance in twenty.

At no point did you address me, to inform me that you had problems arranging the match.

I hardly think Stevie can be called lazy, with all the running and organising of the leagues. After 4 seasons with people dropping out left right and centre and not playing games, I fully understand why he felt he had to remove people who had not played. Especially as the deadlines are clearly stated at the beginning of each tournament.

I put a lot of time and effort into running this league. This season has been a nightmare for games not getting played, so i'm cracking down on it.

I'm not a "its my ball type of person", all the rules have been set democratically as has the formats to the league. But as the "chairman" of the league, I have the final say in what goes.

You come across like I'm victimising you. 5 other players were removed, they've just accepted it.

You're more than welcome to play in the league next season, but its not down to me to arrange your matches. Thats your responsiblilty.

If you're opponent doesn't reply to a post, email him. If you're still getting no joy, email me, then i'll do something about it, but i cannot read through every post and sort out match arrangments. I'm not lazy, I just happen to have a life outside PES4 and the forums!

I tried, I did my bit but the guy running the contest can't be bothered to read the thread that he created, thats just lazy. He should award the people who've tried byes into the next round.

I do read the thread, I just haven't got the time to go back over the thread to see whos making the most effort. And to be honest 1 post trying to arrange a match is not making much of an effort.

Well, that was humiliating! Sob. You ran rings around me. I was literally jumping for joy when I got that header in the last minute. And I appologise for the long shots from kick off. I keep telling myself not to do them, but when you're Man City you can't really score any other way ;) Plus, I also appologise for having the condition on Random for game 2. I don't usually do that, but I must have been so upset at my 4-0 loss!

Monster Munch I suggest you heed the advice I posted in your thread, we're trying to be a bit lenient but further personal attacks will result in black book marks/banning.

We'd prefer it if there was just one thread per format this game appears on (as per the rule of thumb for all other games). League organisers feel free to start a new thread.

I'd also suggest all members refresh themselves on the T&Cs of this site as we've noticed that these threads have generated a large number of reports to us.
