View Full Version : Plasma TVS...
I've been lucky enough to get a Fujitsu 42" Plasma TV as a wedding present, delivery takes apx 2 wks, does anyone have any info on these tvs, specs, tried a couple of sites but the details given are minimal. A few work mates reckon there not that good and that they don't even come with speakers or a stand or a station tuner, anyone know anythign, anyone own thsi model out there, or knows of a site where I can check the spec.
The people who are giving this present are loaded, I'm unfortunatley not so don't want to have this TV if it costs another £1000 for a stand/tuner and speakers .
Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that no plasma TV comes with a tuner - you just user a VCR/digibox as a source.
As for speakers, use whatever is currently connected to your amp/all in one system (assuming you have one).
Plasmas are intended purely as monitors in much the same way as computer monitors.

I don't think this is the case anymore - some panasonic models even come with speakers (nicam) and a tuner box
I remeber having a fujitsu plasma at work which was rented out - it came back with a scratch on the screem, oooohhh. Check out this page (http://www.fujitsugeneral.co.jp/english/products/pdpeng/index_pv.htm) for the range of fujitsu plamas
icebun - thanks very much for the info, I'll have to buy myself a VCR then to access normal tv stations. Only have Amp and DVD currently, I also have Tannoy surround speakers so I guess I'll be fine there then.
Once again thanks for the info.
Cheers
Tell you what. I've got a spare 12 inch Hitachi all transistor set that has got a built in tuner and speakers. If you'll pay the postage I'm happy to do a swap.
Let me know,

Yes,,, ;)
kcxdev - thanks for the link, I know I have the 4208 model and the site has the full spec which is useful.
Thanks
A2 is trying to rip you off - thats not a fair swap!!!!!  <-- thats what these rip offs make me, really mad.!
Anyway, I'll step in to ease the pain -- I have a 14" Alba TV with tuners galore (well one, but it'll get BBC1,2,ITV1,C4,C5) -- it also had a built in video player so you don't need to buy a video --- AND I'LL PAY THE POSTAGE!
IN THE WORDS OF ICELAND, AM I DOING A DEAL OR AM I DOING A DEAL (A2 ISN'T!! :p)
lol
:D :D :D :D :D

Both these forums searchable.

My wifes not bad for her age, polite, great in the kitchen and still has most of her own teeth. I'd swap for your 'Money Pit' TV.
I know what you're thinking though....'thats just not fair'...well ok then i'll chuck in another £100 in crinkly notes.
Tempting isnt it????

Most of the latest plasma tv's now cater for the AV enthusiast and come with everything as a normal tv has. You sometimes have to pay extra for a stand though.
