Due to an overwelming demand* We'll start a Super League this season running over 3 seasons. 1 League table with everyone in playing everyone with whatever club team they fancy.
The Super League will be more fun with a wider variety of teams so I encourage everyone to pick a wide variety, I won't stop a league of 40 Real Madrids, but would rather play a good mixture so please bear this in mind. On 17th July I will start a thread asking people to state their Super League Team.
Also on the 17th, the live random team draw for Season 5 will take place. Season 5 will kick off Friday 22nd July.
At the start of Season 5 I will start sorting out the seasons FA Cup Tournament. This will be with the team your using for the Season 5 League.

It was me that posted that. I should've done the survey a bit different in the first place (ie 1 question asked duplicates or not and then in a second question asked if we go duplicates how do you want them seeded/random).
I decided better to stick to the original wording of the survey rather than change it. However I hope the bold red paragraph in the 1st post as well as the attitudes of me, you, John316, Lou et al will push us more into a wide spread of teams with only a few duplicates.
You can assume who the most popular teams will be but I and others won't be picking em.

I’d say the teams at the moment are too uneven. If we are going to use leagues with 1 or 2 good teams and the rest poor then the 2 good teams need removing or seeding to the poorer players.
There’s nothing worse than dominating an entire match but losing because you have an awful set of strikers and the opponent is a good team and has a striker that only needs one shot to score. Equally, it makes it nigh on impossible to play a decent PES 4 player with a good team when you only have a poor team.
It may be realistic in a way but it makes the leagues a tad uneven and I bet frustrating for many. I would say that the best idea is to use the top 15 teams for each division with no duplicates in each division.

Regards the league season
i do not mind which teams are chosen for the leagues for season 5 ,but what does concern me is the fact that me and matt wild have worked hard to move up the leagues each season only to see others get put above us ie frank and blobber
the format which is currentley used seems to work well and would therefore allow us to progress to the next division due to our promotion this season.
any change to the formats could see us not progress and thus this scenario keeps repeating itself each season .
Hence our pursuit of premiership glory will never be realised

i totally agree with Johnny on this one. Although i don't want to be excluded, promotion and relegation is where it's at.

I may be missing something but haven't you played 2 seasons and been promoted twice? You certainly haven't been shafted at all.
There is no change to the main league structure - it's exactly as it's always been. Finish in the top 3 next season and you'll go up another division (as you always have).
The format has been the same for 4 seasons with promotion/relegation deciding which league you're in next season. Why would it change?
Blobber didn't jump divisions, he was in division 1 when he joined the league (Season 2) and IIRC got promoted but never signed up for season 3. Frank only got moved up 2 divisions due to the increased posts saying he should be a prem player and I needed to make the numbers up. Matt got moved up without gaining promotion IIRC, why arn't you moaning about that?
Fact is this league is one of if not the best PES4 leagues on the internet, down to it's members, the organisation of the league (Ono :notworthy) there's only you that moans. Moaners in real footy get fined from the club, but seeing as I can't do that **** it you're in division 3 next season :p

Interesting idea, but wouldn't you just get everyone choosing Deportivo, Valencia, Bayern Munich, PSV, Sampdoria, Spurs, Boro etc.

Quite like this idea, but I'm going to be a Nazi and suggest no more than 3 of each team but with seeded order for choices. That way everyone gets a decent team but at least we'll have a minimum of around 13 different teams in the super league.

Decided to nip back onto my master league last night - a master league which has been running for about 7 seasons now, with my team finely honed and chock full of stars.
Imagine my disappointment when:
a) I lose the last match of the season and in turn lose the 1st division title :cry:
and
b) I make two bids for a new striker, presuming only one at best will come off, but both of the ******* decide they want to join my action and in turn bankrupt me and end my game :( :lol:

well I dont mind stating that I'll be taking a good team. I voted for random select but If I've to choose there's no way I'm taking a mediocre team and spending 3 seasons posting about how crap they are.
May end up spending 3 seasons posting about how crap I am but hopefully by then I'll have worked out how to play this bleeding game.

what would the scope be on my lad entering he always watches me play and has pes3 and pes4 for his ps2 he is only 8 but always nags me to play you guys
in freindlies i have let him take my place and play a few of you will mention no names due to embarresment lol
only prob is he would only be able to play between 5pm and 7om and weekends lol

Hi guys got a slight tech problem as well
Me and The_prof were playing pro evo last night.I was hosting the game but coudnt connect to The_Prof. Craig seemed to think it was my end as nobodys had a problem connecting to him before and hes heard of stories where guys can host but cant join a match.
Im using a etac router with the udp port forwarded on 5739 or watever it is...lets me host but not join.......Any idea's?!!
If you are on a network have you assigned your machine a static IP?
If not go to network connetions, select your network connection, right click, properties, TCP/IP properties (or settings) and then one of the tabs is there to assign an ip.
Edit: Or ignore the above totally and check this out:

Personally, I think we should call it a day for sign-ups to the Super League - 64 games seems like a nice round (square, actually :dork: ) number. Plus, the spreadsheet is complete now, and I'd rather not have to mess about anymore!!!!!!
Course, this is just me talking - if there are anymore out there who want to sign up, speak now or forever hold your peace.

OK - to put this into some sort of perspective, if we assume that a 'season' takes 2 months to complete (being fairly optimistic here!), then we're looking at the superleague playing over at least 6 months. With 70 games to be played, that equates to about 11-12 a month, or about 3 games a week for the next 6 months.

I'm back from holiday now (have been awake for 30+ hours) so I won't read the thread till tomorrow but am pretty sure I'm still happy to take part in all the comps).

i am up for the lot , just hope there are no drop outs or no one which only log on now and then.. i cant pick my team until the 19th or 20th as i am currently 4500 miles away from my pc

We'd prefer it if there was just one thread per format this game appears on (as per the rule of thumb for all other games). League organisers feel free to start a new thread.
I'd also suggest all members refresh themselves on the T&Cs of this site as we've noticed that these threads have generated a large number of reports to us.
